This movie is random, crazy, dramatic, funny, and has food in it. It will make you want a bowl of ramen right away. I want one right now, just thinking about it.

Tampopo has been described as the world's first ramen western. It tells the story of Tampopo, the owner of a ramen joint, her son, the two truck drivers who wheel into town one rainy day. It also tells, in shorts interspersed with the main story, an ongoing love affair with food.
This movie has withstood the test of time - I still enjoy watching it and introducing friends to its particular brand of humour.
The director, Itami, has other, very funny movies, but I still think that this is his best.
The film does have explicit nudity so it may not be the best for kids.
