Tintin is one of the best adventure comics ever created. The originally Belgian series follows a boy reporter on his crime-solving adventures to Tibet, South America, and the moon! It somehow manages to be exciting and endearing completely devoid of sex, violence, or swear words, and although reading Tintin didn't prevent me from indulging in any of the three, it's definitely an awesome enough kid-gift that you still get to be the cool older sibling, but wholesome enough to make you feel responsible.
