Having a bar of Scharffen Berger Bittersweet Chocolate in the freezer is essential! You can pull it out and shave it over vanilla ice cream for a quick and fabulous dessert – add Loulou’s Garden Preserved Kumquats to the mix and you should get a marriage proposal.

Come 3pm every day, I need chocolate. And no vending machine sweets is going to do. Yes, I'm fancy but if you're going to have chocolate, might as well have the best.

just say YES to anything Sharffen Berger. If you are in Berkeley CA, take the time to tour their factory. It's really great chocolate.

Scharffenberger is my go-to chocolate for all cooking. The flavor is excellent, and I love that they use organic milk from pasture-fed cows. Plus, they're about to be certified free-trade.
