Professional Multi-Chopper

I know they say knife skills are the mark of a great cook. I guess I'm only okay, because while I can cut many a things with a knife, I prefer (when dicing) to use my little chopper. When I saw this big girl version of my little food chopper I was beyond excited. It looks so easy, so small and so useful!

Despite the fact that I hate having extra, unnecessary gadgets around, this would make my eyes happy.

What is worse that being busy, being busy and lazy. One aspect that I hate about cooking is food prep, the slicing and dicing of fruits and vegetables. Well, that problem has been solved, thanks to the Professional Multi-Chopper sold by Williams-Sonoma. With a simple thrust downward, you can have perfectly sliced apples and oranges, wedged limes or lemons, sliced carrots or cucumbers, and everyones favorite chore diced onions.
I will also mention that you can use the dicing blade to make french fries. Even though it kind of defeats the point of eating healthier snacks when you need oil or cooking spray to make this item. I used the slicing blade to slice baking potatoes, and came out to make a great au gratin potato casserole. What would have been a few minutes, took a few seconds.
Also factor in this, Costco and most grocery stores sell pre-packaged sliced apple snacks. They usually go for about $10 for 8 bags. However, these are usually half an apple a bag, consist of no one's favorite Fuji apples, and spoil way too quick to be any good. With the Professional Multi-Chopper I can core any apple of my choosing, and save money in the process.
It's as easy to clean as it is easy to use. Just disassemble, wash with your dishes, and place in the dishwasher. Once that is done, all the pieces fit back together and is easy to store.
The downside of this product is that it is very limited in what you can use in it. Only crisp or juicy citrus fruits and vegetables. Anything with a pit or bends by waving it won't work. Trust me, I tried slicing a banana, and it was a mess. Most of the banana got stuck in the top part, which wasn't fun to clean.
All in all, this has quickly become a favorite product.

I LOVE sautéed veggies... but what I really don't enjoy is the prep work that goes into it. This little tool promises to be the only tool you need for those tedious-prep foods that you love to eat. It dices onions, slices potatoes for french fries, slices cucumbers, core apples, wedge lemons and limes, and make your life a million times easier. I am so sold on this product that I want one right now!
