I LOVE VEUVE!!!!! I'm not an oenophile, but Champagne is another matter entirely.
Veuve is moderately priced, but it's the real thing. Made in the Champagne region of France. Not just sparkling wine made in the "Methode Champagnoise."
The Brut is dry, but a little fruity. Not sickenly sweet like Asti, but at the same time it doesn't have that bite that so many dry wines have.
Trust me. When you buy it, buy 2 bottles. One to share and one for your greedy little self.
Serving Suggestion: Don't save Champagne for New Year's. Have a glass while you open X-mas presents. Big date? Crack open a bottle. And there's no better medicine for a paper cut. Any excuse is a good excuse. Bon appetit!
