Bisazzo Mosaico: Summer Flowers

First recommended by

Description

Trust Bisazza, the venerable Italian tile designers, to translate the fashion for over-size prints to the world of tiny mosaic tiles. Summer Flowers, in side-by-side connecting panels composed of 12 milli-meter glass enamel mosaic tiles (tough enough for high-traffic areas) and “beige chiaro? grout, appears as a hyper-enlarged photo of an embroidered textile. Description

I still love terrazzo floors... I have them in my own kitchen. In the city I use Bisazza; I can buy sheets of terrazzo-style material and they're only 1/4" thick. Real terrazzo is much thicker, about two inches. (via Elements of Living)
