    The Japanese seem to have an obsession with blond, natural wood. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Hand carved from birch, Japanese artisan Kouta Fukunaga creates beautiful dishes and vessels for serving sake and wine. I love the organic, almost accidental look of the pieces (though I am sure that there is no accident in the design and creation of them), and no two pieces are alike. They are unique and beautiful, a winning combination.
