Spectacular, trippy and incredibly poignant. Danny Boyle's movies always manage to pay homage to a classic genre while bringing something new to the table at the same time. And the thought and effort with which he creates his films are evident.

Well-cast, relevant and beautifully shot, Sunshine is a truly modern sci-fi film and while it was overlooked in theatres, it's a must-see.

Eight astronauts come unglued at the hinges on a seemingly doomed mission to jump start the sun in order to save the Earth and mankind. this film is by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting/ 28 Dyas Later) I would call it a psychological sci fi thriller. (via Amazon)
