What's left to be said? It costs about $10/month (on a long-term plan) and I'd happily pay $50. Even if you only have a couple of shows that you watch regularly (I'm a fan of Jeopardy!, Heroes and Iron Chef America), being able to watch those shows whenever you want, and rapidly fast-forward through the commercials, is a remarkable time-saver.

This product has change my life. The best part, my kids don't know what they want for Christmas because they skip (bedoopa doop) through the commercials. Imagine kids not asking for Cocoa Puffs for breakfast!!

When Tivo first came onto the scene I rolled my eyes. "Who would pay for that when we have VCRs?!" Boy, I was more wrong about that than I have been about anything. Worth every penny.

Its just a plain great piece of information technology. Will revolutionize your TV viewing. You will watch more TV of choice (could be quality or just better enterainment) and you will spend less time doing it. I have tried DVR's from other companies and my cable company and they just do not compare, not even close. (via qgold)

Tivo is to DVR what Coke is to soda pop and Kleenex is to facial tissue. Tivo it, it's a verb too. The reason is because they were the first to arrive at the scene and because the Tivo interface is superior to all other DVRs. It's worth the extra money.
