TiVo has changed the way I live my daily life. Seriously. I don't have to interrupt important tasks just because Lost is about to start. I can pause American Idol if I have to pee. And the commercials? What commercials? I can fast forward them and get right back to Top Chef!

What's left to be said? It costs about $10/month (on a long-term plan) and I'd happily pay $50. Even if you only have a couple of shows that you watch regularly (I'm a fan of Jeopardy!, Heroes and Iron Chef America), being able to watch those shows whenever you want, and rapidly fast-forward through the commercials, is a remarkable time-saver.

Let's just say after owning it for only a few months, I hate watching live (or non-tivo-ed) TV... (via alexlee)

revolutionized my life! i am no longer tied to the specific programming slot. i can watch my favorite programs at my leisure. and skipping through commercials is a complete joy, but i must admit that sometimes i stop for the ones that catch my eye. also, the DVR that comes with many digital cable services these days is by no means a comparison. tivo IS better and you won't go back once you've tried it!
