This is the mac fracking daddy of pepper mills. I bought this based on a recommendation from Alton Brown (how I love him, to me he is like the mad scientist of food). If you use pepper in any way, shape or form you need this pepper mill. Yes, it is pricey for a pepper mill, but oh what a pepper mill it is. First of all, it holds a ton of peppercorns. I got this approx. a year ago and have only had to refill 1-2 times (and I use pepper every day). It is super easy to refill, you just slide open the slot and pour in the peppercorns. The turning on this is super easy and you can turn away and get as much pepper as you like with ease. It also gives a nice even grind. Not only does Alton Brown recommend this, but it is also recommended by America's Test Kitchen (the folks who put out Cook's Illustrated Magazine). I have never gone wrong with a recommendation from Alton or the Test Kitchen and this one is no exception. If you love pepper you cannot afford to be without this awesome peppermill.
