You can lower your energy bills AND help save the planet from harmful emissions. And who doesn't want to save some dough?
Also, the light is bright, clear and helps natural colors show up.

If you haven't heard about CFLs by now, you must have been living in a hole for the last 3 years. The compact flourescent light bulb is the new industry standard and one of the easiest ways to green your home or office. They use 75% less energy than a normal incandescent light bulb and last 5 - 10 times longer. Which means lower monthly energy bills, and less money spent at the hardware store buying replacements. Although they are most expensive at first (barely), they save you a good amount of money in the long run and help reduce greenhouse gasses. Give them to all of your friends. They'll thank you later.
