There is nothing like this in terms of versatility. Go "slow and low" on one serving of coal at 225 or sear meats at 850 degrees in 3 minutes. I've tried them all, and nothing comes close. If you are a gas griller, this heats up just as quickly, but tastes like real barbecue. If you are a smoker, enjoy both the best of a water smoker and a high end high BTU barbecue.

Very cool, can sear meat at extreme temperatures and then can be easily cooled off for regular cooking.

This BBQ has a cult type following. It's because it re-uses its charcoal for up to 6 months and doesn't need any clean up except for the grill surface. It also has the ability to produce it's own meat and serve it to you with its very own ceramic egg hands. One of these last sentences is not true, but their cult will tell you differently. You can cook just about anything on a Big Green Egg. From slow smoking overnight to searing steaks at 800 degrees, I've had nothing but good luck on my Egg. And it has a lifetime warranty to boot. (via houseoffireonline.com)
