I'm a total sucker for anything sparkly that uses a tension mount. It really showcases the gem / rock and forces the actual ring to be incredibly clean in design. Also, the material has to be very rigid so the materials of choice are stainless and titanium (two of my favorites). TeNo has been making some great tension mount rings for a while and more companies are joining them.
This very cool asymmetrical ring is made of stainless steel and cubic zirconia.
CZ is another plus (for me anyway) since its a much more sensible and guilt-free choice for anyone who's familiar with the nature of the diamond industry

An affordable (not to mention gorgeous) tension-set ring. Who cares if it's not a real diamond... it just looks so freakin' cool. A nice little gift for a girlfriend, or for yourself.
