I might be seeing what I want to see, but the very first thing I thought of when I saw these boots was, 'don't those look an awful lot like the boots River wears in 'war stories'?' I happen to think they do and if you are cosplaying as River they'd be a good choice (personally I'm more of a Kaylee fan, but I do like River).
