  For the pro and amateur cyclist - mostly for the extreme weightweenies - lightweight components are magnets for redundant consumism. It's a good thing that the price tags are so ridiculous that they usually keep you from buying new cranks or handlebars for your bike every time a manufacturer manages to squeeze 5 grams off the previous model. Spending your monthly budget on a carbon saddle, lighter than a finger print, is happiness defined by the true cycling enthusiast. That's why we all carry our own digital scales, so we can keep track of how many grams can a new upgrade to you bike mean in the overall bike weight. The Alessi scale is simply the most magnificent piece of them all!

    I had no idea that adding cycling components could be such a "weighty matter". But this scale is simply gorgeous, whatever its intended purpose.
