40% of all US municipal solid waste consists of paper and paperboard products and in fact only 14% of all paper gets recycled - that means 86% of all paper still gets dumped into our landfills. Making paper from recycled materials results in 74% less air pollution and 35% less water pollution than virgin paper. These Banana Papers from Eco Papers are made from by-products from the Banana agro industry and the fibres are mixed with 100% post consumer paper. The result...pretty notebooks and saved trees.
