I don't live anywhere near California (okay, so a few states over) and I rarely visit... so I haven't had the pleasure of tasting a fresh baked Sprinkles Cupcake in the store. But since my birthday is coming up, I figure why not treat myself and my guests to a taste of the West Coast with these fabled delicious treats?

The famous Sprinkles Cupcake Shop in Beverly Hills now sells a mix that makes a dozen of their delicious cupcakes. Since I don't live anywhere near Beverly Hills, I can now enjoy one of their cupcakes whenever I have a craving.

I just had a friend in New Zealand ask me to send her Sprinkles cupcakes. I remembered someone mentioning the mix, and I have to say it is much easier to send to friends and family than the actual cakes! If they're anywhere near as yummy as the real Sprinkles, these treats should be delightful.

I've yet to discover this Sprinkles cupcake place, I see so much talk about it... I'll make my way this summer for sure... yum, cupcake heaven!

I have been in LA 6 months and still haven't gone to Sprinkles! What the heck is wrong with me??? Perhaps I have a better chance of eating them if I make them at home.

I read about the Sprinkles cupcake shop while ago and was sad to learn there isn't one in my area. (Hopefully soon though.) So I was thrilled when I found out Williams Sonoma is carrying a few of their mixes. I might have to whip up a batch for Valentine's Day. Comes in chocolate, red velvet and vanilla.
