I discovered Monocle at issue 7, and have been a rabid reader ever since.

A friend turned me on to this magazine. It is from the creator of Wallpaper magazine and covers the important things in life from A to E. It's elegantly crafted and unlike most magazines is focused on substance not advertising. Sure you'll pay a little more for the privilege of 'reading' a magazine and even the few ads that are present are actually interesting. The quality of the paper, photos, info-graphics, this magazine is something i look forward to each month, and i get a lot of magazines. (via Ricky Montalvo)

Amart monthly magazine for globally minded individuals. Good cover-to-cover reading, with relatively few ads.

Excellent book-a-zine style publication. And the design makes you look smart, without adding that sort of "Wallpaper" fashionista stigma.

This is the ultimate in highbrow reads. It's a (thick!) monthly British magazine, the latest from Tyler Brûlé, which features the latest in global affairs, business, culture, and design. Monocle is intended for a very narrow segment of society -- you know, the types who can see a Norwegian product advertised and then jet off to Oslo the next day to buy it -- but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't enjoy it. Very classy read, highly informative, and with a refreshing lack of celebrity gossip. (via Nate)
