All the things you want in a real backcountry ski/snowboard pack!!! An external helmet pocket, hip stash pockets for food, wax and a leatherman, wet dry compartments, with a special pocket for your snow study kit and fleece pocket for goggles The reverse hatchback design allows for quick access on slope - allowing quick yoyo runs with rapid access to skins and layers. I helped to redesign this pack last season - shaving weight and complicated features, and adding more backcountry usability.

I've done lot's of research on ski packs, and although I haven't purchased one yet the Switch 36 looks like the best one for me. Osprey makes excellent packs, and this pack is the only ski pack I've found that combines all the features I want: Hydration tube insulated inside of shoulder strap, hipbelt pockets for snacks and stuff. multiple ski AND snowboard carrrying options, and a wet/dry divider. Osprey makes two other smaller size ski packs, the Switch 26, and the Switch 16. Those two also look like great packs, but I like the amount of space this one offers best. I'll update my recommendation once I actually buy the pack.
