With babies and toddlers you can never have enough blankets, and this one is so pretty and so practical. It comes in great colors so you coordinate with any stroller or other decor, and the nylon backing means you can spread out on the grass without getting a damp bum. I think this makes a fantastic gift for a new baby.

This is the greatest blanket I have ever used. It has soft fleece on the top and water resistant nylon on the bottom. My baby plays on it outside in our yard, at the park and at the beach. I also use it inside and I always know which side is the top. It machine washes and dries and only gets softer. I have another one that I keep in my diaper bag - I use it for diaper changes on the go. It is terrific, because it covers the entire changetable at restaurants. I love the Silly Billyz play blanket! There's nothing worse than putting my little one down on the grass to play and find her soaked with water because the blanket was wet. I love these play blankets because it keeps her warm with fleece on the top side and dry with a waterproof lining underneath. (via Cool Mom Picks)
