Outlander: Diana Gabaldon: Books
To quote the friend who lent me this book: "Give it 75 pages or so..." And I would completely agree. The story starts off slow and you really start to wonder where it could possibly go and why in heaven you would continue to read for 600 pages. Seriously, who can't tell a story in less than 600 pages? But then it turns and all of a sudden you're completely entranced. I don't remember when it happened but ther have been plenty late nights for me where I just want to keep going and not go to sleep. The olde Scottish dialogue is a bit tricky to follow at first but I put the book down feeling like I'm thinking in a brogue in my head. It's a must read and I can't wait to explore more of Gabaldon's books.
The characters in these books come alive, and Gabaldon's detailed writing grabbed my attention and made it hard to put down.
