"This alarm works on any floor surface. Make sure you have enough room under your door to slide this under it. Once alarm is in place, the door will not open. If entry is attempted, the alarm sounds loudly!
The door stop alarm is a way to secure your personal safety and your personal items. An extra layer of security in dorms is not a bad thing, especially considering that many college campuses are in potentially dangerous areas. "

Yes indeed, I need 8 of these at a few doors at home and at the business office, these are great.
