I'm not sure why or how the images of octopuses became so cute. If you've ever seen a live, wriggling, squishy, cold one, you too would wonder why and how anyone would make it seem cute. Now the same goes for pirates. Cute? Uh, no. Stinky pillagers? No thanks, unless he's Johnny Depp. However the evolution from repulsive to cute happened, this red octopus pin with a pirate's patch over it's eye is very adorable.
