The Aeron chair was designed in 1994 by Don Chadwich and Bill Stumpf, and is now offered nationwide by manufacturer Hermann Miller. It is regarded as a symbol of comfort in the workplace. This is my desk chair at my office.

I fell in love with the Aeron chair when they got me one at the office. It was so good I bought one for home. I've had it for 7 years now and there have been no creaks, squeaks or problems whatsoever. Oh and it's darn comfortable. Every office or home needs one.

I'm not a big fan of Herman Miller's Aeron chair. It just doesn't seem to fit me right. But after my company downsized, sold all their Aerons and then re-upsized again, they bought me a Mirra. And I really liked it. As a bonus, it's a little cheaper than the iconic Aeron.

What's avoiding back, neck and wrist pain, and not sweating all over the furniture, worth to YOU? For me, I got a basic Aeron chair for about $650, but you can option them up from there. There's a good reason you see this office chair featured in movies and TV shows: it's da bomb. And did I mention it was named one of the best designs of the 20th CENTURY?

Seriously. Most comfortable office chair ever. Probably one of the most expensive as well, but if you spend 8+ hours in a day, isn't it worth a bit more to not ruin your spine and tailbone?

Given all of the time that I spend at work seated, it's really unfortunate that I don't have a better chair. For the past few years I've been enamored with the Herman Miller Aeron. It's not as though the form has changed much – if at all – from when it first was released. Then of course, by bottom isn’t much concerned with style; it simply gravitates to the comfort.

I LOVE my Aeron chair so much that I've already recommended it to all my friends! I use my Herman Miller Loaded Aeron Chair as a computer chair -- and I use it a lot! The price is a little hefty (althought it IS a designer chair), but don't be scared away by it. To be honest, I was skeptical at first, too. I didn't want to pay a lot for the label and not have the chair be comfortable, but once I sat down in it and started using it, I have never once regretted my purchase! This chair is extremely comfortable! I usually have a hard time sitting at the computer for a long time because my back starts to hurt, but with the Aeron chair, my back gets the support it needs and I get to sit pain free ... and you can't put a price on that! In addition to being unbelieveable to sit in, it also gives our computer room a professional, modern look.

i'm used to sitting upwards of 10 hours in this chair and i never get overheated, nor do i get shooting pains up my back like i do with most chairs after a few hours. they're more attractive and feels more comfortable than the aerons -- and are a few hundred dollars less. i truly believe that sitting in this chair for the last three years actually saved my back from the one year of sitting in a regular office chair doing production work. if i could legally marry a chair and have chair babies, it would be with this chair.

Another mid-century modern classic, the Aeron chair never goes out of style. As they are typically seen in black, i think this taupey color is a unique take. I would use one as an occasional chair in the living room.

I loved the Herman Miller Aeron Chair when it first came out.. seemed innovative and fresh... but it is everywhere and overexposed now.
