I know this saves lives, but I can't break free of the thought of how comical it might be to see someone shocked back into consciousness by an ear-attached horn.

This is a really funny way to fight a serious problem, but if I were the one considering buying this purchase, part of me would feel guilty for a) the fact that I had been putting myself in situations where I might fall asleep at the wheel and b) the possibility that I had fallen asleep at the wheel frequently enough in the past to necessitate contemplating buying this.

So, instead of an alarm, I would want the thing to flat out berate me. Loudly. Right in my ear. "Hey JERK! Wake up!" "Pull over and get some coffee before you KILL SOMEBODY!" "This is why they make truck stops, brain trust." "Do you have a death wish? What is WRONG with you?!" etc.

Somehow I think that might be a bit more effective....
