You though I was only into Snowboards? Ah, you are mistaken. I enjoy a good ski run just as much.

Volkl makes some really great skis and they don't outsource any parts. Plus, you get to use that great german accent voice when pronouncing the name.

The Tigershark Power Switch is Volk's latest innovation. The ski is designed for serious piste speed and carving, but can do all mountain roaming just as well. On the top of the ski there is a switch, connected to an internal carbon fiber spring loaded rod. A flip of the switch releases the rod, changing the feel and handling dynamics of the ski. While it may seem gimmicky, it actually does work, at least somewhat.

A bit expensive, but if you're a serious skier you may want to give these a try.
