Sort of an unconventional Mother's Day gift, the Flip was the gift of choice for my wife's second Mother's Day. She'll probably use it for 98% toddler video, so it makes perfect sense.

I can't live without my Flip! It's just the right size to fit in my purse or pocket and lets me take video of the kids, of vacations - really, just about anything. Obviously, it would be nice to have a big fancy video camera with me on a trip to the city, but the Flip is so much better for travel because 1) it's tiny so it'll leave room in my suitcase for more essential items like boots, 2) it's not that expensive, so if it happens to get lost, I won't feel the financial pain, and 3) it plugs directly into a USB, so there's no need to carry an extra cord and it's easy to upload footage and blog on-the-go from the hotel room (or airport gate, or taxicab, or wherever).
