Okay the old versions of DnD you could pick up the game and start playing in seconds, it was pretty simple, Dice Check! Paper Check! Brain Cells Check! But the newer D20 (3.5) version requires way more brain cells and has more rules than just about any other game on the planet, heck even people who have played for years still get hung up on items like "fighting round a corner", "line of site" and "if the DM says it's this way it IS THIS WAY!!!!"
