a cook's tour is the first book i read by tony bourdain, after which i fell in love. again. the first time was seeing him smoke, drink and eat his way around the world on tv, and then to read the same stories was awesome. bourdain's writing is sharp and natural, as if you were sitting together with him in a bar.

The collateral book from his ill-fated show on the Food Network. A mere glimmering of what he would go on to become with the Travel Channel, but a good read nevertheless.
