Nothing gets you up when you are down more quickly (and with greater style) than the dancing and singing and general cavorting of Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds. Definitely keep a copy on hand for a "rainy" day.

i used to live in a remote part of maine where we didn't even have reception to get the basic channels on our television. this was also the days when VCR's had just been invented. i would come home every day in third grade and watch this movie because it was one of three movies we had on video. i could watch this movie over and over again, it never gets old to me! it's one of the best musicals EVER made and one of the highlights of gene kelly's career. i fell in love with gene and his singing and dancing and i wanted to dress up in all the fabulous clothes the women wore in the film. it's truly a superb movie and great for all ages!
