This is a terrific book that explains the macro socioeconomic and geopolitical issues which are shaping the world. Thomas Friedman describes core trends which define today's global economy and goes into detail to explain the power shift in consumption and production, driven mostly by India and China. Most of the points are obvious but it's still startling to realize just how massive some of these changes are--and will be--and how the world we work and live in will change.

Friedman writes intelligibly about how technology, politics and people have combined to globalize our world and the effect that it has on us all. Although a bit wordy, this text still provides a reviving view of the world to come.
