How many of you have boxes and boxes of old slides and negatives sitting on a shelf in a closet somewhere gathering dust? It's not a lot of fun to pull out that old slide projector either and it probably doesn't even work! It's time to back up and preserve those past memories of family, friends and vacations before they are lost forever.
The cool new Slide And Negative To Digital Picture Converter converts your old 35mm slides and film negatives into digital images easily without having to rely on a pricey conversion service. Simply plug the USB device into your PC, place your slides or negatives onto the tray, touch the button and sit back as they are scanned and converted to professional-quality digital copies without any loss of resolution right onto your hard drive. Good news for your old photos, bad news for everyone who now has to sit through yet another slide show of the "good old days". (via The Green Head)

Using three white LEDs as a back light source, this 1800 dpi scanner can convert your slides and negatives into digital images at the touch of a button without compromising quality. I'm looking forward to using this to scan the slides my friends gave me!

Now I can do something with my mother's old pictures. Just what I need to get all the family photos digital - lots faster than using my scanner

For a photo/camera-enthusiast like myself this is a dream come true!
I can't tell you how many negatives I have that for years have gone undeveloped due to time, and money.
Now I suppose it is time to take the negatives out of retirement.
I would recommend this to anyone with my similar feelings :D

THE CAMERA IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST INVENTIONS! HAVE YOU EVER SHOT A ROLL OF FILM ONLY TO SEE IT YEARS LATER FLOATING IN SOME UTILITY DRAWER OR IN A BOX OF OLD PHOTOS UNDEVELOPED! MAYBE TIME HAS DESTROYED PHOTOS YOU LOVE BUT SOMEHOW NOT MANAGED TO CORRUPT THE NEGATIVES! WELL THE SLIDE AND NEGATIVE TO DIGITAL PICTURE CONVERTER JUST BECAME YOUR NEW FAVORITE GADGET! LOSE ALL THAT ANCIENT SPACE WASTING CONFUSION!

This is very, very cool. We have slides that go way back -- and finally a way to view and print them. Kudos! to whoever came up with this.
We have envelopes and envelopes full of negatives. This is something I would definitely considers. Good call!
