Don't let the name scare you off.

Ok, well, maybe a little, it's primarily designed for DJ's and those looking for a large variety of effects to apply to existing sound sources. But it's still pretty cool.

Don't let the name scare you off. Ok, well, maybe a little, it's primarily designed for DJ's and those looking for a large variety of effects to apply to existing sound sources. But it's still pretty cool. The innovation here is the large touchpad in the middle. Touch, tap, slide, or squiggle your fingers across the pad and you control the effect's length, volume, intensity and more. There're are even red LED's under the pad to show where you are moving and to keep certain movements locked in place, even after you've let go. With over 128 effect programs, just plug in a sound source (even your iPod) and prepare to get blown away by the changes you can make. Additionally, it has a memory bank, so you can create and then store loops of sound for playback or layering over later. But by far one of the coolest features is full MIDI support. PLug it into your laptop and sound editing program, then use the pad to play just about any instrument - super cool. It's around $400, but that's a standard price for all the features you get. I recommend. Plus it just looks cool :)

Sounds so awesome! As cool as those "Phonophone" speakers for iPods are, I think I'd much prefer this. It's interactive music/art! Unfortunately I don't think there'd be a reason for me to ever leave my house again if I bought this.......
