Strange and sculptural, this Fall of the Damned pendant lampshade depicts either a human struggle between between forces of good and evil or the early moments of a spirited orgy. Designed by Luc Merx, this piece is created for a singularly unique (and well funded) interior.

If you are on the lookout for the ultimate in epic lampshades, today is your lucky day. Designer Luc Merx has created a lampshade he calls the Fall of the Damned. The lampshade depicts a mass of naked bodies, all fused together, falling into the fiery pits of Hell in pure burning agony. This beautiful piece was created using innovative 3D printing by Materialise's MGX technology where, "digitally created designs are 'printed' with a laser, adding layer upon layer until an intricately detailed piece is formed." It's totally awesome and it's only $45,000, so hurry there's only 40 available in this limited edition run. (via The Green Head)

This is a Dante's Inferno piece. I don't personally believe that masses of humans in naked convulsions equate with hellfire, but I do like the ominous solar devil finity. Dissolution of the individual to the singularity of infinite mass. See thegreenhead for more macabre...
