Xeko as a company is fully committed to sustainability: all products are sustainably-manufactured and packaged using recycled and recyclable materials. Xeko trading cards are printed using 100 percent recycled paper and soy-based inks. Xeko booster packs are packaged in the same recyclable paper used to wrap tea bags, a toy industry first. Forget poke-balls... for the elementary set the game Xeko makes environmental awareness the focus of their game. Species face off in an struggle for dominance that forces the eco-system to balance itself. There's some oversimplification of the complexities of the environment, sure-- but the fact that this game teaches kids about various species and raises awareness outweighs the possibility that they may come away with some wacky ideas. The math required is basic addition and subtraction, so while 2nd grade kids may have trouble with the reading they'll still be able to play.

Xeko rocks! I picked this up for my daughter about a month ago and now she can't watch discovery's planet earth without calling out all the animals as they appear. I'm not referring to basics, i mean "that's a leatherback sea turtle, it's almost extinct". This was one of the best games I've ever pickup up for a child. I only wish more kids played it so she would have others besides me and her mother to play with.
