In honor of its 80th birthday, Cole Haan has given the trusty penny loafer a complete makeover. More comfortable (with the addition of a bit of Nike Air cushioning) and more streamlined (with a narrower vamp), the Penny Air can be a staid classic in flat black or a wild child in Moroccan blue patent or a work staple in Pinot Noir patent. If you have overlooked the Penny before, you may want to put her in the running this season. She's a real beauty.
