Damien Rice, I have such a thing for you, this is my open letter to you. Honestly, I devoured both this and 9(2006 release) in a matter of an hour. You convey emotion so delicately. Buy his music and I promise you will enjoy them.

I'd like to slap Damien Rice in the face for making an album that completely and utterly twists my soul. One of my favorite tracks describes this album to a T "Delicate". Other fav tracks: "Cold Water", "Cheers Darlin", "Blowers Daughter", "I Remember", "All Dressed Up", "Moody Monday". Sweet, tender, dark and ethereal. (via Amazon)

Damien Rice's debut album is an amazing assortment of folk-tinged songs, beautiful and simple. "Canonball" was a hit for the singer-songwriter, and rightly so. A lovely album, filled with well crafted songs from someone who has proved to have a steady, unique voice.

A near perfect album by Irish troubadour Damien Rice is all the more remarkable considering the album was largely self-produced and home-recorded. His songs revolve around familiar, bittersweet concerns of life, love, and their attendant frustrations, but delivered with conspiratorial intimacy on melodic wings.

Bonus points for having a song named "Amie" ;)
