I first came across this book years ago, and recently found a copy for myself, and it was as good as I remembered it. It's full of interesting and loony organizations, cults, conspiracy theorists, and otherwise nutty folks and their crackpot theories. Apocalyptic and messianic cults, weird science like the "Archive of Useless Research," UFO's and their true-believers, like the Raelians...you name it, and someone not only believed it, but convinced others to do the same. When you read it, it won't be about whether you believe any of these, well, kooks or not, but whether you can believe that anyone ever did.
