ZUSE is a compact toasting device that can be attached to the wall. it is automatically activated through an optical sensor when any slice of bread is put in. as a special gimmick it is possible to burn black & white pictures with a resolution of 12 to 12 pixels into your toast using a line by line toasting - a technology similar to early matrix printers. several pictures are already in the toaster's memory and will be printed/burned in randomized.

This would probably cheer me up in the mornings. You can burn your own images onto the toast as long as the image is 12 x 12 pixels. Some already built in. A great way of getting a message over to your partner without having to speak to them. And to top it all it can be wall hung.
