The Eggling Herb Kit has been very popular on ThisNext. Here is the Eggling Plant Kit that sprouts and grows plants. The Eggling looks and feels like an extra large egg that is actually a white, porous ceramic container. It comes with a terra cotta tray and seed pack.
There are several different varieties of plants available, including: phlox, petunia, chysanthemum, lobelia, wild strawberry, lavender, and red pepper. Cultivation is easy - the plants can grow for up to five months in the Eggling fortified peat mixture, after which it can be planted directly into soil. Comes individually packaged in a gift box. Adorable! Just crack open the egg, water and watch it grow. Handy to have around for the occasional herb use, and always funky as decor. Nice way to bring a little nature into an urban space.
