When I reached the end and found that this book was "to be continued" I was disappointed. When I found that the second and third novels have already been published, I was pleased that I would get to enjoy more of this intriguing story.

Update: The second two books are just as enjoyable, though I got just a little bored at the very end.

The Golden Age is an extreme cyberpunk tale of humanity's electronically-mediated future as we get ready to make our first inter-stellar voyage. It is a great story of intrigue, humor and vivid descriptions of a cyber-decadent society.
