When it comes to drinking water, everyone lately has become obsessed with absolute water purity. What about the water you actually bathe in and the hot steam you breathe in during a shower? The Wellness Shower Filter ($249) is a cool long-lasting filter for your shower that not only removes chlorine (chlorine is a vapor and you breathe it in during a hot steaming shower!), bacteria, cysts, heavy metals, sediment, many chemicals and other impurities from the water supply, it also increases the dissolved oxygen, re-ionizes it for an enhanced antioxidant effect and adds healthy, trace amounts of silica, potassium and magnesium for healthier skin and hair too. I would feel much better knowing that all that added chlorine from the municipal water supply is being removed along with anything else that makes it into the stream and if I had a private well, I would have this installed in a heartbeat. Do you actually trust your water supply? I do -- hmm, no actually I don't. (via The Green Head)
