A great weight/space-saving item. Turn the water bottle you are already carrying with you into a lantern.

This was given to me as a christmas present last year and at first, I didn't understand what the heck it was but now I use it all the time. What a stroke of brilliance - creating a product that can do two things for the weight of one! Thanks guys!

A unique design which turns your bottle into a lantern. The unique lid design contains an integrated LED light which spreads a warm glow throughout the bottle. I have one. (via Guytodesigns)

This is hands-down one of the handiest gadgets I own. Nalgene-style water bottles have been used by hikers and campers for years, and this little gadget turns them into a lantern. It has variable levels of light output, won't electrocute you, works on any wide-mouth bottle, and is a lot safer than trying to burn a butane lantern in your tent. Plus, if you're thirsty, just take a swig out of the lantern. (via Gizmodo)

Our kids love the firefly. We have a couple of the lanterns that we set up on the picnic table when we are camping and then they make great lights in the tent. They look really cool with our red bottles. We bought ours at REI. (via REI)

I love products that do double duty, especially when it comes to camping. The Firefly by Guyot Designs converts most wide mouth bottles into a camp lantern. Seriously, at night it will illuminate a dark bathroom and your path to it. :) Great to find your bottle of water at night in the tent...and kids love it too. So far it has worked with my Nalgene, GSI and Cyclone wide-mouth bottles. Different colored bottles determine how bright it is... (via TravelGearBlog)
