I started watching the BBC version of The Office. It took me a while, but I finally really got into it. I was worried the American version of The Office might be as bad as the American version of Couplings, but it turned out to be even better than the BBC version. Be sure you're buying the version you are looking for.

Faux documentary, and one of the funniest shows ever. Ricky Gervais plays an annoying office manager a little too well. Great comic acting from the entire cast. The humor is bawdy and crude at times, so don't buy this one for your dear old mum. (via netflix.com)

How do I love Michael Scott? Let me count the ways. I love his devotion to candy, his enthusiasm for holidays, his desire to be #1 Top Dog in every situation, his unswerving faith in his own sense of humor, his overwhelming need to be loved. Throw in the sweetness of Jim-n-Pam, the unbelievable fabulousness that is DwighT SchruTe, Toby's perpetually furrowed brow, Kelly's nonstop mouth, and the opportunity to watch every single one of Ryan's hopes and dreams go straight down the toilet, and you have a DVD-worthy series that's actually worth repeated viewing.
