I love my 8gb ipod nano. It holds a ton of music but is still tiny enough for me to fit in my back pocket. Also, it fits nicely into my armband while running, and isn't as heavy or daunting as running with the larger iPod classic or iPod touch. Great for traveling or work because its lightweight and plays videos without anyone even knowing. I don't know how I'd survive the gym without it.

An added story: One time my dad told me about some guy who just wouldn't stop talking to him on his flight home. I told him he had to know the iPod trick by now: Put it on your table, put your headphones in, and nobody will talk to you. Even if you aren't listening to anything, it is a successful tool to avoid the dreaded travel smalltalk. He came back with astounding reports - not one person talked to him on his next flight.
