A looser affair than most Rancid album, this finds Tim Armstrong in generally good spirits. Many songs are more upbeat with a kind of reggae influenced beat. There's almost a surf sound on "Take This City" "Into Action", which is a much bubbly song than you'd expect to find here."Translator" sounds a bit like a Transplants song with a more relaxed, stripped down backing. Even the songs with darker overtones are lighter than anything else he's produced. The delivery is as you'd expect, in his singular diction, but it's a stripped down.
