How I love this CD by an original maven, Patti Smith. The opening lines to Gloria (those who know the song, know what I mean, I won't post them here as I'm reviewing great music, not trying to start controversy) will just blow you away and she does not let up through the entire CD! Let's not forget another one of my heroes Lenny Kaye plays on this CD too (not only is he a great musician, but he has done a ton along with Little Steven for garage rock)!

Amazing debut from punk's queen songstress. Filled with great songs with amazing lyrics and stripped down production. Seminal album from a terrific punk poet.
