This is such a great idea for those occasions when you want to serve a hot dip, or sauce and have no way to keep it at the proper temperature. Heating element can be removed when not needed.

This is great for serving hot dips at a party. We always make a delicious cheesy dip but after an hour off of the stove, it's not so delicious anymore. This is perfect! And, when you don't need your dip to be heated (guacamole anyone?) you can remove the heating device and use it as a normal serving tray. God I can't wait for Cowboys games.
