I have been a fan of Aveda's products for more than a dozen years. (Except for the one time I went in for a trim and the guy gave me layers and beachy curls- argh!)

I have been a fan of Aveda's products for more than a dozen years. (Except for the one time I went in for a trim and the guy gave me layers and beachy curls- argh!) I think I have had one of their large wooden paddle brushes since they first came out with them. But that brush is huge and doesn't always make the best choice when traveling. I am so glad that Aveda made a smaller version. Now I take this with me whenever I travel. I style my hair, brush my hair, straighten my curly hair with it and it doesn't take up a ton of space in the suitcase or drawer. Like any wooden brush the more you get it wet, the more it will flake and warp a little over time. I combat this by trying to dry off the handle when I'm done with it (if I have used it on wet hair). I do clean it as well to keep it in tip top shape.
